Prabhas and Prithviraj Unleash Action in ‘Salaar’ Trailer: A Game-Changing Film by Prashanth Neel
New Delhi – Following a long anticipation, the trailer for Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire has finally been released.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, known for his previous blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2, this pan-India action entertainer features Prabhas in the lead role. The trailer immerses us in the fictional city of Khansaar, which has fallen under the control of invaders described as even more perilous than Mahmud of Ghazni and Genghis Khan. Prithviraj Sukumaran, the rightful heir to the city, finds himself overpowered when the invaders forcefully seize control.
In his time of need, Prithviraj calls upon his childhood friend Deva (portrayed by Prabhas), who has vowed to always protect him and his people. Deva returns to Khansaar with the intention of reclaiming the throne and seeking vengeance for his best friend.
The trailer also offers glimpses of other notable actors such as Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu. Prabhas and Prithviraj unite their forces and deliver powerful blows in this action-packed entertainer, reminiscent of SS Rajamouli’s last year’s blockbuster RRR, which featured Ram Charan and Jr NTR as the dual protagonists.
During the promotion of his film, Prashanth Neel recently discussed the origin of the idea behind Salaar. He revealed that the concept had come to his mind 15 years ago, but due to his commitment to KGF and the time it took to make the film, he couldn’t work on it earlier.
Neel explained that after completing his first film Ugram, he got involved in the making of KGF, which consumed almost 8 years of his time. By the time the second part of KGF was released, 8 years had passed since the initial planning had begun. Therefore, the idea of making Salaar had been lingering in his mind for a long time. Neel further mentioned that during the Covid pandemic, when the release of KGF 2 was delayed, he utilized the extra time to work on Salaar.
Salaar is scheduled to hit theaters on December 22, just a day after the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. Neel acknowledged that no filmmaker desires a clash at the box office, whether it’s with a newcomer or an established actor like Shah Rukh Khan. He expressed that it is an unpleasant situation for anyone to change their release date to accommodate someone else’s film.
