‘Animal’ surpasses Shahrukh’s ‘Pathan’ in three-day earnings
Mumbai – Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ has collected Rs 201.76 crore net at the Indian box office in three days of release.
According to Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film netted ₹ 176.58 crore in the Hindi version and ₹ 25.18 crore in the South Indian version in three days.
In the Hindi version alone, the film earned Rs 54.75 crore on Friday, Rs 58.37 crore on Saturday and Rs 63.46 crore on Sunday. In its Hindi version, the film has even surpassed the business of Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’ in three days.
Pathan earned 161 crores in three days. But it could not surpass the three-day earnings of Shah Rukh’s other film Jawan. Jawan earned 180.45 crores in Hindi in three days. Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Saam Bahadur’ has earned 25.55 crores in India in three days.
Looking at the trend of the South Indian market of Animal, it can be felt that the dividing line between the film market of North and South India has been erased. From Jawan, Pathan to Animal, Hindi films have also started making good money in the South.
